The Copic Classic is the oldest and most popular model in the Copic Markers series, launched in 1987. It is popular in many design fields, including illustration, architecture, interior design, and fashion, available in 214 colors.
The nibs (tips) and body shapes are different from those of the Copic Sketch and Copic Ciao markers. Classic markers have a broad nib for drawing uniform lines and a fine, pen-like nib for outlines and signatures. The caps on these markers' square-shaped bodies are also color numbered for easy color identification.
