A New Watercolour Paint Created Through a Collaboration Between Japanese Manufacturers Kusakabe and Iken

The Charcoal Series uses pigments upcycled from high-quality charcoal offcuts produced by Iken, a renowned Japanese charcoal manufacturer. These paints are characterised by their calm, subdued tones and the subtle, visible grain of charcoal particles.

They granulate beautifully, allow for easy lifting, and make it simple to create clear tonal contrasts between light and dark. This innovative transparent watercolour range is well suited to a wide variety of artistic expressions, including illustration, sumi-inspired painting, and traditional picture letters

The Glow Series contains vibrant yet refined pearlescent pigments, allowing for watercolour expressions unlike anything seen before.
