Yamato-e Sumi Ink
6-Color Set in Paulownia Wood Box

Traditional Japanese Ink, Crafted for Artistic Expression

Discover the beauty of traditional Japanese ink with this six-color Yamato-e Sumi set, created for artists who appreciate the depth, subtlety, and timeless elegance of Japanese painting.

Like traditional solid sumi ink, these ink sticks can be ground on an inkstone with water, allowing you to prepare your ink to your preferred consistency. They are also suitable for long-term storage and for use in artworks intended for traditional mounting and presentation.

The inks blend beautifully with solid blue-black, brown, and colored sumi inks, offering further possibilities for nuanced tones and expressive combinations. Their distinctive shapes and delicate rose fragrance add a special touch to the artistic experience.

Presented in an elegant paulownia wood box, this set is a wonderful choice for artists exploring traditional Japanese painting techniques and the art of sumi.
